Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American clergymanactivist and prominent leader in the African-American civil rights movement. His main legacy was to secure progress on civil rights in the United States, and he has become a human rights icon: King is recognized as a martyr by two Christian churches. This quote was on my mentors door and I use to read it everyday. I have wondered for a long time how MLK handle himself with such dignity in the face of such injustice.

“When evil men plot, good men must plan. When evil men burn and bomb, good men must build and bind. When evil men shout ugly words of hatred, good men must commit themselves to the glories of love. Where evil men would seek to perpetuate an unjust status quo, good men must seek to bring into being a real order of justice”

Let me know what you think…
